Star-like Asteridea | Asteridea asteroides

A cluster of snowflake-like flowers rest on a wreath of leaves, this is the Star-like Asteridea. These starry wonders bloom especially bright against the charred earth after a bushfire. Their radiating petals make the perfect frame for the celestial skyskape of stars that nestle together in the the centre of the flower head.

Endemic to:

Mostly around Esperance, also found near Geraldton but not in the wetter southern corner of WA. Primarily Noongar Country; Nhanta and Amangu countries and Wudjari in the south.

It blooms:

August – November, Djilba – Kambarang (Noongar)
